On this week’s podcast, Danny and Joe discuss:

• We catch up with the winners of the “Win Danny and His Crew” contest. Hear from the homeowners about what it’s like hosting Danny for a few days. Plus, Danny gives another try at speaking French.

• How to keep mildew from appearing every year. There’s a foolproof way to protect the exterior of your home.

• Why there could be some issues involving tiling over existing tile.

• Joe has a Simple Solution that will have you using a six-pack carton to organize spray paint cans and glue bottles.

Question of the week:

Greg from Alabama asks, “I have recently painted my laminate countertops. I started with sanding, then 2 coats of primer (bullseye 123), 4 coats of dark brown Behr interior paint and finished with 3 coats of Minwax Polyacrylic with sanding in between all coats. It’s only been 24 hours after the last coat of polyacrylic but I notice that if I’m washing my hands at the sink and get water on the counter, it creates a white circle under the water. I clean it up and it eventually disappears after it dries. Why is it doing this? Will it stop after the finish has cured?”
